"How Not To React When Your Son Is Gay"

My heart breaks while watching this video. If you’re reading this and need support, please contact The Trevor Project. They are the leading national organization for crisis & suicide prevention - they are there to talk, 24/7 - confidential and free.

I cannot believe how cruel people can be. I never saw something like that before in my life, sure i’ve heard stories but this… this is unbelievable. They are supposed to be parents, parents are supposed to stand behind their child no matter what path they take in life. They should accept you, for you and your interests, ideas, the kind of sex you like. Not beat you, not throw you out, not yell. I’m sure it’s not easy to accept that your child believes in something you don’t understand but hell, take time with him or her to talk it out! Try to understand!

I’m lucky to say my parents have always told me to tell how i feel. That if i was gay, i should tell. And honestly i would tell cos i know my parents won’t react the way these parents reacted.

I wish every kid the parents they can fall back to. Parents who understand your struggles and are there to catch you if you fall.

I wish everyone the best in life. Damn, i’m getting emotional here.

One thing though:

"What is wrong with you people?"
